4th grade is a fun, busy and challenging year. I believe in setting high, achievable expectations for each student in my classroom. Everyone learns differently but everyone has the capacity to learn.
Students must learn their multiplication facts to be successful in Math. It is a necessity for many other concepts we encounter in that subject.
Reading fluently is a skill that needs to be practiced as well. By now students should be able to choose books that are within their range and read fluently and comprehend what they've read. Reading every night is necessary if students are going to get better.

Day 2-Computer Day 3-Gym Day 4-Library Day 5-Music We will start with Day 1 (Art) on Tuesday, September 7th. Snack breakStudents may bring a snack each day for our snack break. I plan to have this snack break in the morning after specials. I will not be providing a snack so this is not mandatory but may help.
Also, water bottles are fine to bring in. Students need to remember to take them home FREQUENTLY to clean or replace. Germs do begin to collect when they stay at school too long. Discussion Topics Class Web Pages |
